CFGNiger’s HUMANITARIAN GOALS
It is clear to us that some of the Nigerien population need help to ensure they stay in their villages. The yearly droughts that bring famine make it increasingly difficult to stay in the village where you and your family have lived for generations.
We are putting together a number of different stand alone projects to assist the villagers remaining at home and effectively working the land and being self sufficient
We are working with a number of local NGOs to ascertain the specific needs of certain villages located in the sub Sahara and to work up a series of steps that can be taken to ensure they can become and remain self sufficient
The projects will include looking at the following matters:
Water production-through wells and irrigation channels to provide potable water to drink and water for crops and animals
Education-construction of simple classrooms with the provision of desks, writing materials, text books and a teacher
Dormitories-to allow pupils to remain at school for up to 9 months of the year
Lighting-the introduction of different kinds of solar lighting for homes and classrooms with add on accessories such as mobile phone chargers
Animal Husbandry-agricultural classes to assist the farmers in determining the best crops to grow, to maximise crop potential, water utilisation, keeping of animals
Medical Day Centres– the construction of a simple clean, efficient and suitable building that can be used by doctors and district nurses to care for every day medical problems on a weekly basis
CFGNiger asks you to join with us to make sure that these practical and essential measures are carried out in a cost efficient and timely manner
THESE PEOPLE CANNOT WAIT!
